![]() ![]() She lunges beautifully and has big floaty gaits! We have just started her back in work with lunging and long-lining with the goal of getting her strong enough to carry a rider again. She is a petite lady and a bit out of shape at the moment, so helping her build muscle to support a healthy, strong back will be step one. She has been out of work for a few years now, and she was diagnosed with mild kissing spine in 2015. If you have a soft spot for off-track thoroughbreds, look no further than Faith! Dakota is up to date on all vet and farrier care and does very well for both. He is turn out across from a mare, but is not ready to share a paddock at this time. Dakota likes to be in charge of the herd, but does so very appropriately. He has begun turning out with another gelding, and is enjoying the companionship. Given his current training level, he is not ready to be a children’s pony yet.ĭakota gelded in April and may still exhibit some stud-like behaviors for awhile. At his size he will require a petite rider and someone who has experience with restarting or will do so under a trainer’s supervision. He is currently walk, trot, and canter in tack on the lunge, and boy is he a cute mover! Recently we have started putting a rider up in the saddle, and Dakota is taking it in stride.
